IRIS Saltzman
IRIS AND THE BUTTERFLY
Iris Saltzman, the founder of The International Para-Psychology School in Miami, Florida, was a world-renowned psychic, astrologer, para-psychologist and speaker who captivated audiences large and small across generations. Her vision and wisdom inspired many, as did her integrity to those who knew her. She hosted a television show, and guest starred on other shows including Larry King, Sally Jesse, Alan Burke and Neil Rogers among others. Dr. Brian Weiss’ book, Many Lives Many Masters prominently referenced Iris. Her gift was used to substantiate many of the core findings stated in his book. Several publications featured Iris including The Miami Herald and Esquire Magazine, which listed her as one of the top Astrologers in the country.
Through speaking engagements, Iris raised money for the University of Miami: Project Newborn and The Infantry, Mt. Sinai Hospital Founders Club, The Theosophical Society, Optimist Clubs, Women's International Zionist Organization, Sunflower Society, Suniland Retardation Center, National Children's Cardiac and Cancer Research. She worked with the medical community for patient analysis and aided law enforcement in criminal investigations and to find missing persons. As a visionary, teacher, and philosopher Iris counseled, well-known artists, politicians, and leaders in the business community as well as thousands of others worldwide. Many will miss her, but her legacy lives on.
Understanding each ending brings with it a new beginning, Iris chose the transformative butterfly for her first logo. Later she incorporated the Sankofa bird to remind us of the need to reflect on the past as we move forward. Never giving up on life’s lessons, Iris moved forward to the very end. She is an example to all.
